DAY 1
Kigali transfer and arrival

Gorilla Trekking and recovery
Official briefing at park headquarters, your Gorilla Trekking experience with a ranger-led group, and a restful afternoon back at the lodge to take it all in.
DAY 3
Rest, wellness or a selected local experience
Use the day for wellness, the gardens, the pool or a gentle local experience — there is no second trek scheduled, so your body gets a genuine rest day.
DAY 4
Golden Monkey trekking or another confirmed activity
Add Golden Monkey trekking, wellness and massage, the Twin Lakes, the Dian Fossey campus or another confirmed Volcanoes National Park experience — you choose which suits you best. The Golden Monkey Permit is arranged separately on this journey.
DAY 5
Return to Kigali or continue your Rwanda journey
Breakfast, check-out and a private return transfer to Kigali, or an onward connection if you are continuing your Rwanda or East Africa journey.

Your trek-day transfer to the park headquarters is only about 15 minutes from the lodge, and the extra time lets you adjust the lodge rhythm to how you feel each day — start later after a long flight, linger over breakfast, or simply stay an extra hour at the pool before your next activity.
