Two nights can work well when your Gorilla Trekking date is already confirmed and time is limited. You still get a calm, well‒coordinated stay close to the park, with private transfer support and Full Board — the trade-off is less flexibility for Golden Monkey trekking, wellness and additional time at the lodge, and a tighter window if your trek day needs to move.

The Essential Stay does not yet have its own independently confirmed rate, so the figures below are calculated from our 3-Night Signature Journey price. We isolate the fixed Gorilla Trekking Permit cost, remove the Golden Monkey Permit value (not included in the 2-Night Essential Stay), and scale the remaining accommodation, private transport and trek-day extras down to two nights. This gives you a realistic starting point while you wait for your personalised, date-specific proposal.

From Kigali to the trek
Kigali is approximately 2.5 to 3 hours from Five Volcanoes by road. We recommend arriving the day before your trek, as the official briefing does not allow a same-morning departure from Kigali. From the lodge, the park headquarters in Kinigi is only about 15 minutes away, so your trek day starts calm and close — a real advantage on a tight two-night schedule where every hour matters.
